In the 1920’s Francis B. Lothrop began collecting whaling printing for over 60 years. Now housed in the Peabody museum in Salem, Massachusetts prints cover a broad spectrum of subject matter relating to the whaling industry, natural history of the whale. Also prints & from mythology, biblical illustration & maps. A comprehensive collection displaying the collectors fascination with the whale
