Glass is a unique material for sculpture because no other medium has its ability to change color, texture, and, seemingly, mass. Contemporary Glass Sculptures and Panels presents the work of 68 artists in the collection of The Corning Museum of Glass; what this diverse group of established and emerging artists share is an experimental approach to glass that transcends the material’s traditional association with the decorative arts.
